Lattafa Teriaq Review: A Unique Twist on Caramel

Welcome to my Lattafa Teriaq review!

Lattafa’s recent release, Teriaq, has been quite polarizing, with people either loving it or hating it. As a fan of Lattafa fragrances and the famous perfumer Quentin Bisch, Teriaq is a hit for me!

Lattafa Teriaq Review

Lattafa Teriaq

Lattafa Teriaq
Value for Money

Lattafa Teriaq is a sweet gourmand fragrance, with a rich, deep caramel, honey, and vanilla notes.

There is a unique twist to this gourmand fragrance, with sour rhubarb and spicy pink pepper notes.

Teriaq has excellent performance in both longevity and projection.

✓ Pros

  • Rich and deeply sweet caramel with a twist
  • Above-average performance
  • Low price

✗ Cons

  • Some compare it to sour burnt caramel

What Does Lattafa Teriaq Smell Like?

Lattafa Teriaq is a sweet gourmand fragrance, with a fair bit of complexity to it.

Teriaq opens with a sweet and rich caramel note with a touch of almond that remains throughout the drydown. There is also a sweet, spicy fruitiness present, from the pink pepper and apricot.

This isn’t a purely sweet gourmand fragrance though, there is an aspect to it that is a bit sharp and sour. Don’t be expecting something along the lines of Bianco Latte!

The sweet side of Teriaq is quite beautiful, with depth from the caramel, honey, and vanilla.

The sweetness is balanced by the subtly spicy pink pepper and the sour rhubarb notes in the opening. In the drydown, the musk, leather, and labdanum balance the sweetness with a very soft presence.

If you enjoy deeply sweet caramel and are open to a unique twist, Teriaq is worth a try!

  • Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Caramel, Bitter Almond, Apricot
  • Middle Notes: White Flowers, Rose, Rhubarb, Honey
  • Base Notes: Vanilla, Musk, Vetiver, Labdanum, Leather

Many Lattafa fragrances are known for their above-average performance, and Teriaq is no exception. Teriaq remains strong for a full day’s wear, with above-average projection for the first few hours. This is a fragrance that will last for days on clothes as well.

When to Wear Lattafa Teriaq

Teriaq is fairly versatile and suitable for most occasions, though keep in mind that it is a powerful, sweet fragrance.

I have been wearing Teriaq throughout winter and spring, and plan to keep wearing it during the summer as well.

Teriaq is a very high-quality fragrance with a low price. This is a fragrance that smells much more expensive than it is.

About the Perfumer

The talented and renowned perfumer behind Teriaq is Quentin Bisch. Bisch has worked with some of the biggest names in the fragrance industry and has created some of the most well-known fragrances in recent history.

Some of his creations include Jean Paul Gaultier’s recent release, Divine, Parfums de Marly Delina, Carolina Herrera Good Girl and Bad Boy, Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum, Amouage Guidance, Azzaro Wanted By Night, Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle, and many more.

Ideas for Layering

Teriaq alone has many layers to it, but it’s always fun to add more. Try experimenting with adding more vanilla or fruity notes!

  • Kayali Vanilla 28
  • Kayali Vanilla Oud
  • Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry
  • Nest Madagascar Vanilla Perfume Oil
  • Giardini di Toscana Bianco Latte
  • Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Le Parfum
  • Lattafa Delilah
  • Parfums de Marly Delina
  • Valenino Donna Born in Roma
  • Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl Glam

Is Lattafa Teriaq unisex?

Yes, as all fragrances are truly gender-neutral. Teriaq does lean toward the traditionally feminine side with its sweet gourmand scent profile. However, this fragrance’s depth makes it quite unisex as well.

As a woman, I often wear fragrances marketed to men, and many men enjoy fragrances marketed to women.

Can Lattafa Teriaq be worn year-round, or is it more seasonal?

Teriaq is a great choice for any season. It is strong enough to power through the cold winter days, while the fruity sour notes make it suitable for spring and summer heat.

Is Lattafa Teriaq similar to Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Le Parfum?

I have seen comparisons made between these two fragrances, I do not find them to be very similar. There is a fruity, spicy sweetness to both, but they are two very different fragrances.

Final Thoughts

Lattafa continues to produce extremely high-quality fragrances at very reasonable prices, and Teriaq is a fantastic addition to its lineup.
