Kismet Angel Review: Amazing Angels’ Share Dupe (Now Kismet Magic)

Welcome to my Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel review!

Kismet Angel has recently been renamed to Kismet Magic, so don’t be worried if you go to buy it and see it looking a bit different. For the sake of my review, I will keep calling it by it’s original name for now, Kismet Angel.

Kismet Angel is a popular dupe for Kilian Angels’ Share, one of the most popular fragrances for the fall and winter months for men and women alike.

Kismet Angel is a high-quality fragrance at a low price and a fantastic dupe for Angels’ Share.

Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel Review

✓ Pros

  • Great dupe of Kilian Angels’ Share
  • Low price
  • Great choice for fall and winter
  • Versatile

✗ Cons

  • Some people report poor longevity

What Does Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel Smell Like?

Kismet Angel is a pretty spot-on dupe of Angels’ Share.

The opening of Kismet Angel is briefly sharper and not as immediately smooth, sweet, and boozy as Angels’ Share.

However, within a few minutes, Kismet Angel smooths out and becomes a sweet, warm, spicy, boozy fragrance, very similar to Angels’ Share.

As Kismet Angel dries down, I find the cognac, tonka bean, and cinnamon to be the strongest notes. Overall, this is a very well-blended and high-quality fragrance that smells much more expensive than it is.

  • Top Notes: Honeycomb, Vanilla, Amber
  • Middle Notes: Cognac, Cinnamon, Caramel, Tonka Bean
  • Base Notes: Dark Chocolate

Kismet Angel has decent longevity and projection. The first 2 hours show fairly strong projection, then it quiets down to a more subtle scent with mild projection for a few more hours. However, as a subtle scent, it lasts for a long time. I recently applied it at 3 pm and could easily still smell it on my arm the next day.

For the price, Kismet Angel does a very good job.

When to Wear Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel

Like Angel’s Share, Kismet Angel is a great fragrance for the colder months in the fall and winter. It is a great choice for nights out, but it is also versatile enough for daily wear.

Price-wise, Kismet Angel is incredibly competitive, offering a high-quality fragrance experience at a very low price.

Kilian Angel’ Share vs Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel

Let’s compare Kilian Angel’s Share vs Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel in terms of scent, performance, and price.

Opening: Both fragrances have a sweet, warm, spicy, cognac-centered opening. Kismet Angel has a bit of a sharper opening, but it smooths out quickly.

Dry down: Both fragrances retain a similar sweet, warm, vanilla boozy scent throughout the dry down. Kismet Angel is slightly on the drier and spicier side, but overall they are very similar.

Winner: Kilian Angel’s Share, but not by much.

Angels’ Share is a beast mode fragrance for me, with longevity that lasts for days and projection that keeps on going for a full day’s wear. Kismet Angel has decent longevity and projection for the first few hours, then it quiets down to a more subtle scent. I find it lasts a full day, though it isn’t as strong as Angels’ Share for the full day.

Winner: Kilian Angel’s Share

Kismet Angel can be found at approximately one-tenth the price of Kilian Angel’s Share [1], for double the volume.

Winner: Kismet Angel by a landslide!

Final Verdict

Both Angel’s Share and Kismet Angel are fantastic fragrances. It is hard to live up to the scent and longevity of Angel’s Share, but Kismet Angel does an admirable job, and it is a very decent dupe of Angel’s Share with an extremely affordable price tag.

Final Thoughts

Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel (now known as Kismet Magic) is definitely worth a buy as a dupe of Kilian Angels’ Share. It is a fantastic fragrance at a very low price.

The first time I tested Kismet Angel and Cocktail Intense as Angels’ Share dupes, I thought that Cocktail Intense was the better dupe. However, having given Kismet Angel more testing, I think that both are great options!
